The
HALO Security
Barriers are comprised of a series of energy absorbing panels which
are configured to provide a physical barrier against acts of terrorism. |

In
the Maritime Security Barrier product, HALO panels are composed of
environmentally friendly, maintenance free materials, which are deployed
vertically, and linked by high quality marine grade cable together
with additional
panels
into
a
floating
bulwark.
The Security Barrier can include at least two rows of panels,
connected by composite rods. In addition, depending upon client specification,
the Barrier could include webbing below (to prevent underwater incursions)
and razor wire above. Each system can be configured with integrated
options such as sonar, lighting, sensors,
audible deterrents
and other
security
features.
The entire
Barrier will be moored using high-specification anchoring and mooring
systems suitable for the environment where deployed.
The HALO Maritime Security Barrier works under the principles of strength
and flexibility, using structural composition to stop any attempted
threat.
If a boat strikes the face of the HALO Security Barrier at high speed, the barrier
is designed to flex (absorbing energy) with the boat plowing into the barrier.
HALO is not a “floating fence post” merely there to support a cable
that provides stopping power, instead, a great deal of HALO's stopping power
comes
from the barrier itself.
In addition, by creating a progressive impact to stop a speeding vessel with
an enveloping action, our energy-absorbing barrier can survive much higher velocities
than a rigid barrier.
Configurations:
LOD
Designed to delineate areas for exclusion zones the LOD provides a clear line
of demarcation with appropriate signage and warning lights.
SBB
The small boat barrier is designed to stop threats from kayaks and small boats
using small engines or manpower for motion. This system is also capable of stopping
swimmers from entering a secure zone.
MBB
The medium boat barrier is designed to physically stop 30' vessels traveling
over 40mph across the water. The barrier is combined with an overall facility
security plan and can be seamlessly merged into existing security plans. The
MBB is capable of being deployed with both offensive and defensive options, to
stop vessels approaching high value assets. It can be used in shallow and deepwater.
LBB
The LBB barrier is designed to stop large slow moving vessels from impacting
high value assets, whether a vessel is out of control or has malicious intent. |
