Elemental Innovation announces Daniel R. Ross as the companies first Chief Operating Officer

West Caldwell, NJ – October 2006 - Elemental Innovation (EI) http://www.elementalinnovation.com, a global leader in maritime port security, and coastal protection systems, introduces Daniel R. Ross as the companies first Chief Operating Officer.

Daniel is an entrepreneur, business operator, investment banker and attorney, with a focus on emerging growth companies.

He recently sold Allegiance Health, which he co-founded in 1996 and led for 8 years, to Hooper Holmes, Inc. (HH: AMEX), where he assumed the role of Executive Vice President and division general manager. Before Allegiance, he spent 12 years in the investment banking industry, including 10 years at Salomon Brothers, living and conducting business internationally for 7 of those years. He practiced law in the early 1980’s for Cravath, Swaine & Moore, one of the nation’s most prominent corporate law firms. His business experience includes extensive work in strategy, finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, sales, supplier relations, product development, operations/information systems, and legal/regulatory matters.

He attended The University of Virginia School of Law (J.D., 1982), where he was an editor of the Virginia Law Review, and Harvard University (A.B. cum laude, 1977).
He is a member (inactive) of the Virginia State Bar and New York State Bar.
