The 2006 Port Security Grants were announced on July 6 and are scheduled to close on August 4. Elemental Innovation (EI) HALO Security Barriers™ offer a proven solution to addressing IED’s delivered via small craft, and attempted underwater incursion by divers.

The company is currently undergoing discussions with several ports regarding the deployment of the patented HALO Security Barriers. Regarding the references noted in the 2006 Port Security Grants for IED's to be delivered by terrorists via small watercraft, Elemental Innovation has announced to the port security community that its HALO line of products offer unmatched protection when compared to any competing product. The company is prepared to showcase HALO's abilities to ports currently applying for a 2006 Port Security Grant.

HALO SECURITY Barrier is the latest invention by Justin Bishop. Mr. Bishop is the inventor and original patent owner of the WhisprWave® wave attenuator, which has been successfully deployed for years and can now be seen at the Naval Amphibious Base in Norfolk, Virginia. While the WhisprWave can reduce a 5 second wave by up to 40% in height, tremendous improvements can be found in the HALO, which can reduce a 5 second wave by an unprecedented 80% in height.

Extensive test studies have been conducted on the HALO at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA., and the US Army Corps of Engineers ERDC Facility in Vicksburg, MS.
