West Caldwell, NJ, April 4, 2004 – Elemental Innovation, Inc, a leading engineering firm, announces its latest design, HALO SHOCKWAVE™, a wave attenuator for inland waterways and channels. The eco-friendly, tunable HALO SHOCKWAVE is an energy-absorbing barrier that alleviates the damaging force of the waves and wakes that cause structural wear and tear of docks and seawalls.

HALO SHOCKWAVE can be secured in either a horizontal or vertical orientation directly upon a solid surface, seawall, bulkhead, or pilings. The structure is designed to allow a portion of wave energy to pass through small openings on its face, to the area located between the unit and its mounting points. This area is where the waves overlap and interfere with each other causing dissipation.

The HALO SHOCKWAVE utilizes articulating arms to secure the unit in place which contain dampening pads for absorbing the energy of severe loads. A HALO SHOCKWAVE unit installed on either side of an inlet or marina will reduce the current wave reflection caused by exposed smooth surfaces. HALO SHOCKWAVE is fully adjustable and installation is simple, rapid, and requires no specialized tools.

The combination of its unique design, along with energy absorbing materials, allows the HALO SHOCKWAVE to provide calm waters for inlets, marinas, intra coastal waterways, and rivers.
