West Caldwell, NJ, September 13, 2004 – Elemental Innovation, Inc, a leading engineering firm, completed an extensive evaluation of it's HALO wave attenuator at the US Army Corps of Engineers ERDC Facility in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Together, the USACE and EI conducted two weeks of wave tank modeling on HALO to determine reflection and transmission coefficients. In the USACE’s wave tank tests, HALO reduced wave heights by more than 90%.

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the world’s premier public engineering organization, erects barriers, builds breakwaters and reinforces dunes and beaches for coastal protection and erosion control.

The USACE is always looking for better ways to protect property and the environment against wave and wake destruction. Accordingly, when the USACE learned about Elemental Innovation’s HALO wave attenuator, it was interested in learning more, the company said.
